UPMC - Mon, 10/20/2014 - 2:40pm
Without a doubt, Ebola has made the traveling public more anxious. Since airline crews do not include doctors, they call upon UPMC Stat-MD Communications as their airline medical advisory service. In operation since 1998, Stat-MD, with about a dozen doctors trained in emergency medicine, takes calls from airlines round the clock. Physicians are able to gather information and advise the crew on the proper next steps. http://bit.ly/11Ywfos
