CTCC, Cranberry Twp Community Chest, is pleased to have established a new committee to encourage residents to volunteer and learn more about the non profit and civic groups in our community and Butler County. We are fortunate that many people want to be more active in accomplishing CTCC's mission and activities. Because of this demand, the CTCC Board has approved the creation of the CTCC Ambassadors Committee.
The CTCC Ambassadors will meet four times a year on the third Wednesdays of September, November, January and March at 7 PM. The first meeting will be Wednesday September 16, 2009 in Room 203 of the Cranberry Municipal Building and will end by 8:30 PM.
Requirements to become a member of the CTCC Ambassador committee:
1. Register on our web site
2. Attend two of the four meetings per year. (July 1 to June 30th)
3. Donation of any amount to the CTCC Annual Drive
4. Register on our software system (being developed by CMU) as a volunteer and volunteer a minimum of 10 hours/year with at least two CTCC nonprofit groups.
At the meetings we will invite two or three nonprofit groups to come in and discuss their organizations in more detail to the CTCC Ambassadors, explaining their contribution to the community, their projects, and how CTCC Ambassadors could get involved.
The goal of CTCC Ambassadors is to create an easy and comfortable means of becoming more involved with the community's nonprofit and civic groups without the pressure or commitment of joining one of the groups. It will create an opportunity to learn much more about these groups, our community and the important contribution that nonprofit/civic groups bring to our community. Anyone who is short on time because of a busy schedule or demanding job yet wants to contribute to the community in an effective and quick manner will find the CTCC Ambassadors a perfect group to join. Full membership to become a CTCC Ambassador can be accomplished with as little as 13 hours of time commitment per year.
