2009

CTCC Grants Awarded / Pass Through Donations / Non-profit Promotions Summary for 2009

Cranberry Twp Community Chest (CTCC) with the help of our business sponsors, donors and volunteers has been involved in helping to invest over $83,000 in 2009 in our non-profit/civic groups and our community. These programs had over 350 people volunteering to help make our community better.

CTCC is a group of volunteers with no paid staff.

  • American Heart Association: Community Days Bean Bag Tournament and Olympic event plus $200 grant.
  • Butler Health System: Community Days Olympic event plus $200 grant & help provide volunteers for the Caring Angel program.
  • Cranberry Alliance: Created with support of The Chamber at the Community Days Four Pillar Luncheon and start up grant, both totaling $3850.
  • The Chamber: Chamber Chase 5K for Community Days, partnership in the Four Pillar luncheon, start up of the Cranberry Alliance and Cranberry Legacy Endowment Foundation. Community Days Olympics with $200 grant.
  • 2009 Community Days: Three Day events, July 9-11 with a carnival that entertained 25,000 people and benefited over 25 nonprofit & civic groups. This also included our 32 page Annual Report. $34,800 plus grants as listed.
  • Cranberry CUP: Pass thru donation of $250.
  • Cranberry Legacy Endowment (Foundation): Created formally with CTCC & The Chamber in 2009 and collected/made six endowments totaling $20,000.
  • Friends of the Library: Community Days Olympic grant of $200, pass thru donation of $200.
  • Gleaners Food Bank: November Food drive with Rotary & The Chamber, Community Days Bingo, and pass thru $500.
  • Habitat for Humanity: Community Day dinner fundraiser plus $10,000 in three grants.
  • Junior Achievement: $250 grant plus $500 Traco pass thru grant.
  • Lions: Community Days Pancake breakfast plus & pass thru of $250.
  • Miracle League: Red Octopus: Community Days Olympics with $200 grant for each.
  • Rotary: Community Day Dinner plus $2000 in a grant and $400 pass thru; $1000 grant for Sunrise Rotary for their Dutilh island improvement project (by Home Depot/Jerry's Car Wash/Doyle) with Sustainable Pittsburgh.
  • Seneca Valley School District: Winter Clothing Drive for students plus $400 in pass thru donation.
  • Venture Club: Community Days Parking collection for VOICe :$7750, plus Community Day Olympics with grant of $200.
  • VFW: Pass thru of $100
  • Women’s Club: Community Days Santa Visit
